2024 BRISMES Annual Conference • Call for Papers Deadline Extended

2024 BRISMES Conference • Lancaster University, Lancashire • 1-3 July 2024

Our call for papers deadline for the 2024 BRISMES Conference ‘Proliferating Entanglements: Matter and Meaning in the Middle East’ at Lancaster University has been extended to midnight, 12 January 2023 (UK time).  

You can read here the conference’s main theme; additionally, we encourage proposals on any topic related to the Middle East and North Africa. Areas of relevance to BRISMES include (but are not limited to) politics, culture and society, language, literature, history, linguistics and translation studies in and related to the MENA region. We also welcome panel/roundtable proposals in non-English languages spoken in the MENA region. 

Please take a look at the instructions for submission and submit your individual/co-authored paper, panel or roundtable by the deadline. Please share the call widely with your colleagues, students and friends.
