Academic Freedom | Further Correspondence with the Max Planck Society
After receiving a response from the President of the Max Planck Society in March which failed to address our concern about the egregious violation of Professor Ghassan Hage’s academic freedom and freedom of expression, the Committee on Academic Freedom wrote again to Professor Patrick Cramer on 11 April 2024 to request information about what kind of provisions are in place to protect academic freedom and freedom of expression at the Max Planck Institute and whether they were followed when Professor Hage was dismissed.
