Razan Ghazzawi

Razan Ghazzawi (they/them/هي) is an assistant professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Oregon State University. Their research focuses on queer political subjectivity, femme protest labor, queer migration, and political violence in wartime and under authoritarian regimes. Ghazzawi is currently working on their book monograph about queer protest and counter-revolution in the Syrian context. They are a fellow at the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) Global Academy for the 2023/2025 academic years.
