Shubbak Festival 2021

This year's Shubbak Festival invites you to witness the creativity, responsiveness and imaginative power of Arab artists to speak to our times. Born out of the rupture across Arab countries ten years ago, the festival programme reflects a fundamental desire to connect to people and ideas across borders in an unsettled world. Taking place within the pandemic, the festival asks how historical events and personal experiences shape our existence.
Gender in Muslim Contexts, Online Summer Programme

Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations
The nine-day course will be held online. Run by leading experts on gender and Islam, the programme will bring together scholars and students from diverse backgrounds to discuss key issues in the study of gender in Muslim contexts. The programme is designed in collaboration with Simon Fraser University, Centre for Comparitive Muslim Studies, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and will feature lecturers and guest speakers from partner institutions.? ?To apply for this course, please complete the online form by 16 April.
54th Seminar for Arabian Studies

The 54th Seminar for Arabian Studies will take place online over the weekends of 2 – 4 and 9 – 11 July 2021 in collaboration with and supported by Casa Árabe, Cordoba.
